Warranty, Shipping and Ordering

Warranty scope, claim steps, packing standards and realistic lead times — set out before you order rather than after something goes wrong.

Warranty — what is covered

SENTHAI warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for twelve months from the date of shipment, or for the usable life of the edge if that is shorter. A claim is accepted where the failure is caused by production rather than by the way the blade was used.

Covered Not covered
Inserts that debond through a welding or brazing defect Impact damage from hitting kerbs, manholes or submerged objects
Carbide that chips because of a density or grade deviation Wear beyond the point the edge is designed to be used
Incorrect geometry against the approved drawing Damage from use on equipment outside the agreed specification
Quantity or part-number errors against the order Corrosion from extended outdoor storage after delivery

How a claim is handled

  1. Send the batch reference from the carton label, the part number, the quantity affected and photographs of the edge in place.
  2. Our engineers review the traceability records for that run and ask for the operating details: surface, machine, down-pressure and hours in service.
  3. Where the evidence points to a production cause, we replace the affected units on the next shipment or issue a credit, at your preference.
  4. Where the cause is operational, you get a written explanation and, if useful, a recommendation on grade or geometry for the next order.
Keep the label

The batch reference on the carton is what makes a fast, factual claim possible. Photograph the labels when the pallet arrives and keep them with the receiving paperwork.

Export packing

Edges are packed so they arrive straight. Carbide edges ship in timber or heavy-duty cartons with edge protection, corrosion protection on machined faces, and steel strapping on pallets. Carton weights and dimensions are confirmed before shipping so your receiving team is not surprised.

  • Pallet dimensions and weights supplied with the shipping documents.
  • Private-label cartons available for distributor and OEM programmes.
  • Mixed loads combining blades, inserts and kits on one pallet where practical.
  • Photographs of the packed load on request before the container leaves.

Lead time

Stock profiles and repeat orders against an archived specification move fastest. A new custom profile adds tooling and first-article approval to the schedule. Rather than quoting a blanket lead time, we confirm a production schedule with the quotation and update it if anything moves.

Ordering steps

  1. Send the specification: machine model, drawing, part number or a sample edge.
  2. Receive a quotation with the proposed edge profile, carbide grade, packing and schedule.
  3. Approve the drawing or a first-article sample where the profile is new.
  4. Confirm the order and shipping terms; production is scheduled against the approved document.
  5. Receive packing photographs and shipping documents before dispatch.

Shipping terms and payment

We ship from Thailand by sea or air depending on the quantity and how close you are to your season. Common terms are FOB and CIF; other arrangements can be discussed when the order is confirmed. Payment terms are agreed per customer and per order, and are stated on the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply sample blades before a full order?

Yes, where the profile allows it. A sample or short trial batch is the cheapest way to confirm that the grade and geometry suit your roads before committing to a season order.

Who pays freight on a warranty replacement?

Where a claim is accepted, we cover the cost of getting replacement units to you. Return of the failed parts is requested where the investigation needs them.

Can you hold stock for a season programme?

For regular customers we can plan production against a rolling forecast so goods are ready ahead of your season rather than manufactured after it starts.

What documentation comes with a shipment?

Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading or airway bill as standard, plus material certificates or inspection reports where they were requested at order stage.
